You will be responsible for:

  • Live and promote a workstyle that clearly puts safety first.

  • Work closely with plant management to optimize plant processes.

  • Collaborate on capital projects to ensure proper process design and equipment specification.

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing.

  • Drive continuous improvement of plant manufacturing processes and systems.

  • Assist with environmental regulatory reporting and compliance.

  • Assist with creation of standard operating procedures for new and existing equipment and processes as needed.

  • Provide technical support to members of the engineering team.

  • Drive continuous improvement by evaluation of existing operations to reduce safety and environmental risk.

  • Job complexities and responsibilities will increase as experience is gained.

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (or related technical field).

  • Prefer 3-5 years process engineering experience in chemical manufacturing or related field.

  • Highly organized with strong administrative skills.

  • Leadership qualities, team spirit, and experience in plant environments.

  • Open and effective communication skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.

  • Strong computer skills including MS Office applications and CAD familiarity. SAP experience is ideal.

  • Fluency in Spanish and English.

  • The position will be based in Fray Bentos, Uruguay.
